What is Consensus? Rules without Rulers

Consensus is really crucial.
my biggest question that i get asked a lot is how can something be that valuable if you cant even hold it!! i give them a couple different answers on this. first i tell them to take a deep breath and ask them if they can see the air they breath can they hold it in there hands of course they tell me no and i ask them well how valuable is the air you breath. then i ask them what makes the almighty dollar so valuable and most say well its backed by gold lol. i let them know that its not actually backed by anything other than the word of our government and i ask them do you actually trust the government to control pretty much every aspect of your life. i said ok what if i told you that i have a money that is governed by the people and anyone can look at what is going on with the transactions so there is no secrets, no 10 million dollar roles of toilet paper being bought. this is what crypto brings to the world a way to take the control of money away from the government and give it back to the people where it belongs
