Cryptocurrency funding real estate development?

I have not used Steemit for what looks like about 5 months. I have been a bit pre-occupied with emigrating to California and researching my latest business. Building a Real Estate portfolio.
My project is in quite the infancy stage right now but hopefully it is going to increase and create a profitable venture.
I'm curious- is there anyone here using their income from crypto and investing in real estate? And are there people/companies accepting cryptocurrency as a form of payment for real estate?
I would love to hear people's thoughts and experiences on this subject.
