Ethereum a decentralized platform that runs smart contracts, applications that run exactly as programmed without any possibility downtime, censorship, fraud or third-party interference. In the Ethereum protocol and blockchain​ in there is a price for each operation. The cryptocurrency is called Ether and is used to pay computation time and for transaction fees.
