LIFESTYLE TOLD ME...

Hey steemians! As I was walking in #Saint-Eustache the other day, I was stopped by a simply beautiful sunset. I was so unprepared for the cold -well, I was mostly stubborn because I didn't want winter to come- that my fingertips were turning dark red... But I didn't care: I had to take #photos of it.

This is the Rivière-des-Mille-Îles in Saint-Eustache.

I was walking with a friend Monday and while I was in awe in front of another sunset, he was just telling me how he's been accustomed to that kind of view since he lives in a spot were sunrises and sunsets are super-visible. Sadly, he wasn't #appreciating the same way I was. And I thought about how particularly prickly it is to find beauty in the place we live in, since our eyes see the same things every single day. And that's exactly why I like to go for #walks; it becomes a real challenge to look carefully on what's in front of me instead of looking at the list of things I've got to think about or got to do. It helps me focus on the present time which is kinda important.

Here's my tip for when you go for a walk/run: keep your head straight up while taking deep breaths, then just look up at the trees, squirrels, birds, people passing by -smile if you can afford it, cars, whatever it is, just look upon what surrounds you. If you pay attention to walkers/runners, you'll notice they're often looking down or dazing out: they're not taking advantage of the benefits of their activity! It is way more satisfying to live in the moment!

Gradually, autumn leaves to let winter snow...
