What can we say about "nowadays" ?
It is a civilization in which
The prime emblems of poetry are dishonored ;
The serpent m eagle and lion belong to the circus tents ;
Boar , salmon and onto the cannery ;
Noble greyhound and race horses belong
To the betting rings ;
In which the Moon is despised
AS a satellite of the Earth ,
And a woman reckoned as " auxiliary State personel ".
In which money will buy almost anything but truth ,
and almost anyone but
The truth possessed poet .
