My Engagement Poem

Planning to propose to my girlfriend this weekend and wrote her this! Bonus points for anyone who gets the Jack and Sam reference. ;-) Would love to hear what you think!

An hour late
To our very first date
Four years later I stand before my soul mate
Many laughs, tears, and adventures
You’re the one I want to see me grow old with my dentures
The moon to my sun, so bright, beautiful, and gentle, through our ups and downs you keep me mental.
Like jack and carter we will one day go fishing, spend an eternity holding hands and kissing.
Our future is bright, our family just starting, I promise to control my farting.
Ive never been more certain that I am right now, to many years more of barking and meow.
Across the world fate gave us a chance. In this moment we start out forever dance.
