Trip to Cala Ginesta [ENG/ESP]
After a long week of work, my partner Amélie and I decided to take a trip to a beach located in a town called Castelldefells in Barcelona. Work and the city tend to load you with heavy energies and what better to let off steam and cleanse you of that energy than a beach bath and connecting with nature?
Después de una larga semana de trabajo decidimos mi pareja Amélie y yo realizar un paseo a una playa ubicada en un pueblo llamado Castelldefells de Barcelona. El trabajo y la ciudad suele cargarte de energías pesadas y ¿Qué mejor para desahogarte y limpiarte de esa energía que un baño de playa y conectar con la naturaleza?.
To get there, we had to take the train Rodalias (Renfe) R2 that took us to Castelldefels, then we took a cab to a viewpoint that was at the edge of the road. That’s where we began to see beautiful views: the port with its boats, the coast, the mountains and the beauty of the sea.
Para llegar ahí tuvimos que tomar el tren de Rodalies (Renfe) R2 que nos llevaba hasta Castelldefels, luego tomamos un taxi hasta un mirador que quedaba a la orilla de la carretera en donde ya comenzábamos a gozar de unas preciosas vistas: El puerto con sus barcos, la costa, las montañas y la belleza del mar.
The way from there was down a slope that connected with the port of Ginesta, where you could hear that unique sound boats make when waves crash onto them; from there, we walked a few more meters across a bridge and then through sand until we reached the cove.
El camino a partir de ahí era bajar una pendiente que conectaba con el port de Ginesta donde escuchabas un sonido particular de los barcos al moverse con las olas; de ahí unos metros más atravesando un puente y luego arena hasta llegar a la cala.
The weather was perfect: the sun was shining, the wind subtle, the clouds absent, and the water crystal clear. While swimming, we noticed some stones that had been stacked up by visitors. I stepped closer to take some pictures and took the opportunity to make my own. I find it an entertaining, harmonious and useful practice to improve inner balance and relaxation.
El clima estaba perfecto, buen sol, un poco de viento, nada de nubes, y el agua estaba cristalina. Cuando nos estábamos bañando pudimos apreciar unas piedras apiladas que habían hecho los visitantes. Me acerqué para tomar unas fotos y aproveché de realizar yo el mío. Me pareció entretenido, muy armoniosa y que sirve para mejorar el equilibrio interior y la relajación.

While doing this activity, I found a stone on the floor that caught my attention because it had some white curves and its base was flat enough to be placed on a table. I decided to take it as a souvenir and give it some use at home. It is now a bookend. Now it is a bookend
Mientras hacía esta práctica me encontré una piedra en el suelo que me llamó bastante la atención porque tenía unas curvas blancas y en su base estaba plana como para colocarla en una mesa, decidí llevármela de recuerdo y darle alguna utilidad en casa.¨
