Towards the end of my first year, I finally decided to purchase a scooter. And for the first time, I was truly free. A friend and I would race around town going 25 mph. We'd even get honked at when we tried to scale hills that brought our speed down to about 5-10 mph. Other scooters would also honk at us. They knew we were in the know. All that being said, I was finally beginning to feel like a free adult. A lot of my music from this time was centered around this concept of going somewhere.
