Self Discovery: The Foundation To A Well-defined Life

There are diverse phases of life. The more we grow, the more we get to have more clarity about life. I remember while I was still young, I wasn't really bothered about the future because I had parents who provides for my needs. But as soon I started growing up, I get to understand life better especially when responsibilities started staring me at the face. Most of us here could not precisely figured out our life while young because our initial though was that life will figure out itself as we grow older.

We acted naively, and all our thought were filled with childhood thoughts and fantasies. Only few could say they had their life figured out at a young age and this is dependent on their level of exposure and environment.

Parenting is far beyond meeting the basic necessities of a child. it's more about seeing to it that the child discovers him or herself earlier enough. Parental guidance can not be overemphasized, it helps the child in figuring out the future earlier enough.

The mistake most of us do make is that life will play out on it's own, we leave everything to chance and destiny forgetting we have a major role to play. We tend to dance to the tune of the multitude rather than paying attention to our individual strength and abilities. I remember while growing up, whenever I was asked what I wanted to become in the future, I do tell them that I wanted to become a medical doctor. Not that I had passion for it, but because i believe that was one of the most prominent profession then, which I believe many of us had such childhood fantasies. Even parent are always happy when their children mentions professions like Lawyer, Medical doctor, Civil engineer and more.

To have a life being figured out, it starts from self discovery, what do I like doing? Then channel your strength in line with what you enjoying doing and then you can identify a career path that align with your strength.

The truth is that you can't figure your life all at once, it gets unraveled gradually as you identify and discover yourself. The future gets clearer when you understand yourself. You don't get pressurized by other people's achievements because you've get your life figured out.

You can't figure out your life without initiating the process of self discovery. A life without self discovery is liken to a mirage, such life will be full of uncertainty and confusion. That's why you will have an individual trying alot of things at the same time without any achievements because such individual does not identify his or her true strength. When you have a true understanding of who you are, you will enjoy every phase of your life without being pressured.

The earlier you discover your true self, the easier you get your life figured out. You can't continue leaving your life to chance and destiny. Take the responsibility of discovering yourself today and you will end up having your life figured out within the shortest period of time.
