Hello Hive (my introductory post)

Hello Hive, it is my pleasure to be here. My name is Babatunde Mary Adeola; I go by the name @adeola29 on the Hive. I was introduced to the Hive by my sister. I am a student at Kwara State Polytechnic, studying business administration. I am a native of Kwara State, Ijagbo, to be precise; I am the second child of a family of five.

I would describe myself as a lover of nature; I appreciate every gift of nature, which has grown my interest in geographical learning. I am also a very independent person. I run a small circle of friends to avoid unnecessary drama. I also like to relax by listening to music, watching movies, and dancing. I don't like travelling, but I've visited quite a few places like Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Ekiti for some programs. These are places I was opportune to visit because of family functions. I was glad to see diverse cultures and ways of life of others different from where I was coming from. Growing up, my parents didn't give me a chance for unnecessary outings, which denied me some privileges and also saved me from many acts that might have had negative impacts on my life.

I'm pretty calm in most situations; I try not to let things stress me out, and I tend to be laid back. I am very polite and nice to any and everyone I meet. A weakness I have is that I'm an overthinker; things get to me easily, but then I'm learning to become a better person. I'm a very hard-working person; my strengths describe me as being driven toward achieving goals. I'm the type of person who will go to extreme ends to achieve a goal. I love to stand for something I believe in.

I am also a makeup artist. I'm passionate about my work, and I know how to get the job done. The goal I’m currently striving for is to make this world a better place to live in by starting the changes with myself. As a lady, I’ve had my own share of bad experiences in my life, but I never let that get to me or define who I'm becoming. Building the confidence I need to navigate through life is one thing I strive for daily. With all I already have, I know that I’m on the right path to achieving my goal of becoming a successful entrepreneur.

I have come to realise that life gives certain opportunities at some point in life, and when duly maximised, the success peak will surely be attainable. Life is very unpredictable, and this is why I'm grateful for every opportunity I've received so far. I am a lover of knowledge, and I believe with Hive, I can grow my writing and communication skills. Learning never ends, and I am glad for the opportunity to learn on this great platform. Looking forward to meeting great writers and learning more about each and every one.
