Esther and Elvis both attended the same secondary school together, but Elvis was her senior. He liked her the first time he set his eyes on her, but Esther never gave him that attention. But Elvis was such a smart guy, I thought of how to get her attention. He started to make friends with Esther's friends in her class, and gradually she started giving him very little attention, but he never gave up on her.

Elvis finished ahead of her, and he kept in touch with her until she agreed to date him while she was still in school. The relationship went well after she finished secondary school. She broke up with him because she was pranked with a game, and they went back to being friends.

Elvis's family sent him abroad to further his education. Before he left the country, he met again with Esther, told her about his relocation, and promised to always keep in touch, which he did at the end of the bargain. He kept the communication smooth within them. He wanted to rekindle the love and relationship, but Esther refused and offered only friendship and a clause that if they met again and were still single, they had to date each other again, and both parties agreed to it.

After he finished his education, he came back to Nigeria, where he secured an apartment and a good job. He reached out to Esther about his availability in Nigeria, but Esther just welcomed him back without an audience because she was already seeing someone else. He tried to continue what he started, but Esther wasn't single anymore, and he also moved on with his life.

Things began to go rough for Esther in her relationship, with her being maltreated and not cared for anymore. Despite that, she kept enduring, but at the end of the day, the guy broke up with her, leaving her heart broken, downcast, and depressed. She went to God in prayer and cried to God, making her intentions known and the kind of man she wanted. After that, she moved on with her life but was still depressed, using her job to cloud her worries.

One faithful day, she got a call from Elvis. She reluctantly picked up the phone and managed to talk to him. They just caught up on the old days, and Elvis requested a hangout, and she obliged. It went well and smoothly, and she enjoyed every bit of it. They promised each other to do more of the outing, and they kept hanging out unconsciously. The love was revived. Esther began to leave the state of depression and enjoy what she had at the moment.

They both made it official, and he proposed to her in 2017, got married in 2020, and had their beautiful baby girl in 2021. They both made a beautiful family, and she is enjoying her home today.

Lesson Learnt
Always have patience and trust God. There is still love out there. You will see that one person who will love you the way you want and never give up.
