In India Vasant Panchmi is a spring festival and celebrated by worshiping Saraswati, the Hindu deity of learning, arts and music.The above pic shows Goddess Saraswati playing veena and reading a book. It has a ride of swan which can be seen at the back. The veena symbolizes music and the book at her hand symbolizes learning. It is made of dry bamboo handcrafted by Bengal workers. It is placed in Delhi National Museum,India.
