Spacey #beatbattle entry R2
How's it going?
Here is my entry for the #beatbattle R2. This what I envision would play in a space elevator. This beat starts off with a very basic drum that's been filtered. I added some old keyboard synths to make the beat sound even more arbitrary and "spacey". I added some of my own vocals in the begining and made them sound like far off robotic cries. When my vocals drop out, chopped up vocals that I found in the Exhale VST take over. They sound closer and more present. When the hook portion comes in, the drums become a bit more conventional and the vocal changes. If you listen carefully it sounds like a it's giving off a mangled message: "fly away, fly away" "fly over" "wait, wait" all adding to the feeling of being way up in the sky. Let me know what you think.

Really like the lofi-esque vibe it gives off. Have you seen that "Lo-Fi Hip Hop" live stream on YouTube? Maybe see if you can send it in to them.

Thanks so much. Just checked it out. Maybe after making a couple more I can submit to them for consideration. Some of the channels are quite large.

Wow wow what an awesome Space Elevator track.
Those first 30 seconds set that spacey tone so well. And love how you bring that sound in at 0:33. And that transition around :54 to the vocal is so well done in my opinion. So powerful how you bring the beat in with those vocals around 1:14 as well.
Appreciate the time and effort you put into creating this. Thanks for sharing it with the community.

Wow nice groove with quality texture on top ... one of the old synth patches reminds me of the old Yamaha DX7 . Well done!

Like the cascading vocals towards the end and that dry snare grows on you throughout the track too!
