Our Zimbabwe

Greeting Steemians. I had an urge to share my joy with any and everyone I could. If you have been watching the news you will know that today is a day the future of Zimbabwe changed significantly. This is something I never thought I would see anytime soon but it has happened.
Rather than go on a rant about all the bad things that have happened to us as a nation in the past I would just like to share some pictures of my beautiful country.
Visiting Grandma :- Location
Tractor seat was broken so had to stand on it,of course.
Feeding salt to the cows allows for milk which contains a good amount of sodium and chloride

When the Zimbabwean dollar became worthless,this place used all the coins they had to create a walkway.
Plot of land my mother uses to plant some of her own vegetables.
Here my wife makes dinner for us over a fire after an electrical power cut, this is something that had become a standard event ,but following today we hope for a change in Zimbabwe.
This song represents my dream for Zimbabwe, a nation free from segregation and filled with love,peace and harmony. A zimbabwe for everyone.

This is going to be the new president. The man who personally managed the military's genocide of more than 40,000 Ndebele in the early 1980's under instruction from Mugabe.
As the saying goes ' Be careful what you wish for'. If only Zimbabwe could have a True Democratically elected leader who had the country's best interest at heart and not their own.
That being said , I like the photos and story and wish you, your family and all Zimbabweans a happy future and a good rainy season.

Happy for you guys on your new change in governance. I do wish it'd be better than what you guys have been used to since independence. Great to see the good use of a money said to have little use. At least on the ground there it made everything more beautiful.

Thank you. Now the work for us to rebuild begins it's going to be long and hard but at least we now have the chance to do it.
I used my Samsung S7 Edge to capture those pictures. The weather in Zimbabwe is pretty much always blue skies so that does help with the lighting of the pictures.

Thank you for the best wishes. We are going to take it one step at a time. The people will have a chance to vote for their leader but for now we celebrate a significant victory for us.
Samsung, lovely piece of equipment. Beautiful pictures. I loved it. Yeah, rebuilding the nation is next, I just hope the new President would be equal to the task.
