[Adventure Ready Milestone Marker] OCT.05.2021
Hello to everyone on Hive,
A select number of you have managed to achieve quite a tally of #AutomaticWin’s (and #Win's too!) from the time you registered your very 1st 10,000 steps before 10am (or 10pm for the #Win!) until today! I’m so proud of what you all have achieved over the years! 🙌
Today is a milestone however... and I wanted to take the time to personally thank you all for being a part of @AdventureReady’s mission to reward intentional fitness activity on the Hive Blockchain! We have been doing this for just over 3 years now and it’s been amazing to be a part of so many people’s fitness journeys!

As mentioned above this is a significant day for me because it is the day that I have finally decided to make some VERY difficult decisions.
@AdventureReady & @BeachReady are a HUGE part of my heart and as a certified fitness professional I have considered them to be extensions of myself (my digital arms and legs so to speak!).
These fitness entities encapsulated a personal dream and sparked ideas in me that prompted me to rise early and go to bed late day after day after day... this was (and still is!) my passion project!
So, you can imagine how excited I was to find the Hive Blockchain when I did!
It was the beginning of an exciting quest actually... I wanted to see if it would be possible to send my clients value for being active (BE NOW!) and sharing those fitness adventures with their friends, family’s, and famous here on Hive!
I wanted to see if I could build small achievable #Win’s into people’s days and do it in such a way as to encourage healthy fitness lifestyles around meaningful activity!
That was the vision and still is to this day.
However...
After being an owner on this blockchain (for close to 4 years) I have come to the realization that Hive has a long way to go if it is to achieve the mature social environment necessary to realize and truly support those sorts of aspirations.
Entrepreneurship requires a lot of personal effort, capital investment, and risk. It is a fragile endeavor and that is why BUIDL’ing in a healthy supportive social environment is so imperative to the success of any venture!
And that is why I have decided to draw a line in the sand...
So long as Hive’s social structure continues to be governed by the raw exposure to an unsophisticated down vote, I am given no other recourse but to discontinue any and all of @AdventureReady and @BeachReady’s operations on the Hive Blockchain and move them elsewhere.
This means that I will, regrettably, no longer be awarding and rewarding the #AutomaticWin, #Win, #miniCHALLENGE, and #HighFive achievements here on the Hive Blockchain.
It has taken me a couple months to decide this and I have toiled back and forth and lost a lot of sleep over this decision.
This is not the outcome I had envisioned for my fitness companies but I do believe that this is absolutely necessary moving forward.
To all of you reading these words if you truly care about freedom and the future of this blockchain please do me the favor of considering carefully where our current DV/Zero Out culture is taking us.
I personally believe that freedom of thought (not to mention the full and functional use of our capital in the form of a poweredUP account) can not happen while larger accounts can “own” smaller accounts at will or whim via the implementation of a DV that has no checks, balances, or DPOS process.
We need a user-friendly Hive that preserves all the values we stand for on this blockchain!
Freedom, censorship resistance, true decentralization, and the ability to own our own voice, and speak openly to our own audience without abusive oversight.
This, I believe, is the blockchain we all deserve and have invested in.
This is my rational and reasoning for making this very difficult decision.
I want to BUIDL my business's on the bedrock of blockchain rather than the sand of flawed human subjectivity...

The abusive downvotes I see here have caused me to loose my enthusiasm for Hive. People are treated as being disposable. I want a friendlier place to spend my time.

This recent pump had me selling Hive for the first time in 4 years. It felt weird... but I have continued to follow my values as an investor and entrepreneur.
I’m standing by my decision to Power Down everything (except what I’m utilizing with @Comet.Ranker) and I will continue to BUIDL elsewhere so long as Hive continues to manifest these sorts of social frameworks.
The #AutomaticWin initiative has been a big motivator for me, so obviously it's personally disappointing that official support for it is ending. I also think that initiatives like that, with clear and achievable standards, are a much healthier way for new or small accounts to get rewards than to desperately hope they'll be "curated" by someone with power. But I can understand your perspective, if the powers-that-be aren't aligned with your vision (or even working against it) then it makes sense to get off a train that isn't going in the direction you thought it was.

Friends like you are my capital. Its all your motivations that we are here. I run my own business and sending very busy life. and spare some time for @actifit post hardly. Now I will also think about leaving....
Melinda, we never spoke before, but I have seen you around. Can you please give me specific example of 'abusive downvote'?

You know... Well off (lots of stake) or starting out (small amounts of stake) we all have a right to our voice and the full appreciation of our audiences (the people who appreciate us and want to hear from us). THAT is fundamentally what Hive represents to many of us owners here on the blockchain.
Ultimately we are all a network of support (I would hope so anyways) for better outcomes on and off this blockchain... and it is only when people see the blockchain (and certain people on it) behaving in unsupportive ways that they reconsider their place within that social structure.
We have seen abuse in many shapes and forms on this blockchain... especially recently.
And everything that cascades from those events has their consequences to the wellbeing of all those here... including yourself.
We want to bring our ideas (and friends, family, and famous) to this blockchain and make this s better place; a destination and a beacon for what's possible here... But we can't do that in an unfriendly social environment where our stake and that of our audience is not honored and respected.

Don't bother about things that DO NOT concern you, you neither have the stake nor the connection to do anything at hive. I just followed your conversation with @enforcer48 . I also have all your alts and I also know how you are self voting with comet.ranker... none of your rewards on any of your alts will see the light of the day Will.
I know Melinda quite well, although we never spoke. Again that is none of your business.

As for ranking my comments. Those were ranked to the top so that MY clients would be able to read them and any other Actifit clients would be able to see them right away.
Your observations are actually interference with how I need to communicate with MY cliental.
I don't care about the Hive from those votes... I care about the visibility and who I am speaking with.
Your coming onto my Business Account here on Hive and you are threatening me. If this was the real world and you walked into my fitness studio and did the same thing... would you be able to behave in such a way...? I don't think so!
But ultimately I am glad.

You know it's getting pretty bad when you can make more money trading Hive on the exchanges than you can by utilizing the Hive Blockchain for what it was intended.
This is not a free place to communicate and BUIDL out ideas...
I work hard to bring my business together and represent myself in upright ways...
But your lies and labels will show you for who you are...
This isn't about comparing stake.
This is about common decency and the respect any owner here on Hive deserves.
You are the one who is directly causing the trouble and discord on this blockchain and you know it. I'm not going to stand down especially when your here on MY own business account. A business that predates Hive, is incorporated, and is trademarked.
Why is it that you have to force yourself on the good people here on Hive who are doing things to make Hive a better place?

Just because you have more stake than people here on Hive does not give you the right to tell people how they should use their own capital and certainly does not give you the right to come into my blog and speak to me with this level of arrogance and disrespect.
Ok... let me get this straight (and for the record while we are at it).
I sold MY fitness studio and MY Fitbit stocks and took MY personal savings to invest in Hive and start MY fitness business’s here on Hive...
...so that I could answer to you and your opinion on what it means to be an “owner” of MY business?
I did all that so that YOU could tell me how to run MY business... So that I could answer to you and your dictates of what this blockchain can and can not do and be in terms of the functionality of MY business operations and account?
I’m a Hive owner just like anyone else out there who's earned their place on this blockchain.
And what is this ACTUALLY?
This is trampling all over those ownership rights and you know that as well as I do (and everyone else watching this.)
You don’t own @AdventureReady. You don’t own @BeachReady. I do. These are MY accounts and the capital I have poweredUP grants me certain rights of ownership.
What I can see is that this is rapidly turning into a PR problem for you... only you don't seem to realize it yet. But it's here for everyone on and off the chain to see...
Owners of Hive have zero rights according to some untouchables here on this blockchain...
Not only will they attempt to run you out of business, shut you up, shut you down, and threaten you to fall in line... they will also come onto YOUR blog (YOUR business) and attempt to strong arm you into doing what they want with YOUR business and YOUR ideas.
Then they will justify their actions saying that DPOS allows THEM these rights while stripping away the functional capabilities that the blockchain grants to everyone’s account.
This is human intervention and needs to be seen for what it is. The complete and opposite of freedom and prosperity.
So is this REALLY what the Hive Blockchain is about? Because if it is... Then the Hive Blockchain is truly in as much trouble as I thought it might be...
If these "rules" were hard coded into the actual base layer then everyone investing in Hive would know before hand what they were signingUP for before investing their time, capital, and reputation into the blockchain...
But as it is NO ONE signs anything when they buy Hive and power up a new account... but here you are dictating what it is and isn’t that I can and can’t do with MY own business... And how I can and can not communicate with MY own contacts. (and then you have the nerve to tell me ON MY OWN BLOG that it's none of MY business and just shut up! UNBELIVEABLE!)

I would say that to a hammer everything looks like a nail as well. And you @azircon seem to be under the miss-directed impression that a nuclear bomb is the answer in every situation on the blockchain.
It’s to the point where no one can build ANYTHING and no one can invite ANYONE.

This is sad. I have not even heard about this #AutomaticWin initiation so far. I see only the shutting down of it now. And I am on this blockchain for more than 4 years (since 2017.05.17).
I confirm this. I saw some people downvoted one of your comments to 0 even under my post. And the comment was long, meaningful and engaging. We had a good discussion. I do not understand why they downvoted your comment. The downvote abuse is really starting to ruin this place.
They DV’ed me because I stoodUP to someone who was bullying another person on the blockchain. (And there is a pack of them.) I regrettably decided to DV the offending comment and take away the rewards as I didn’t think it deserved to be placed (and featured) at the top of the posts conversation and it certainly didn’t deserve to be rewarded for its abusive nature.
This tripped off a cascade of DV spamming all across my account for the last 2 days.
Oh! And I also stoodUP to a whale that was on MY business blog telling me what I could and couldn’t do with my PoweredUP (business) capital and who I could and couldn’t talk to on MY business post.
I don’t like bullies. (No matter how much stake they have.) I don’t like abuse. When I see it I don’t like to walk on by and pretend that everything’s hunky dorry on this blockchain... step right UP everybody! Invest your business capital, invest your portfolio capital, invest your personal capital! (Give US your money basically) buuuut by the way... we get to tell you what you can and can’t do with your business on this blockchain (rather than further evolve the blockchains deficiencies at the base layer.)
This is turning into a PR problem but these people don’t seem to realize what they are doing to their own investments in this blockchain (let alone the friendly inviting social culture Hive could be) by continuing to perpetuate an undeveloped DV protocol.
Surely SOMEONE @blocktrades? Is measuring the effect this is having socially and financially on this blockchain?
This is all about trust. User trust, investor trust, entrepreneur trust in this blockchain. You can’t just talk about innovation. At some point someone has to listen and deliver for a user friendly Hive experience... 🤷♂️

I certainly know how you must be feeling right now and I’m sorry that this news has been felt in this way.
This has not been an easy decision for me to make and I can see why your considering leaving as well.
Without the social capital and support the reasons to stay and persist (let alone improve) become much much more difficult...
But this is where I will give you a ray of hope... as I still have hope for this blockchain.
I am still playing an active role on the @Actifit Team. As well... I am doing my best to effect positive change (where it’s desperately needed) here on Hive with @Comet.Ranker. Perhaps you are too busy to check that aspect of Hive out but what I am attempting to do is encourage positive and thought provoking engagement so that constructive things can begin again on the blockchain.
I hope that you will take the time to check this out when you can.

Thank you for expressing what you and many others are feeling @guurry123. Hive has a long way to go to get where it needs to be for true adoption to happen.
Until then investment, entrepreneurship, and influencers wait on the sidelines.

At the very least these people could be polite and explain something before abusing power.
Im doubtful I will go back on Stem full time. Sometime I repost there but it felt sort of wrong. lol
I saw this list but its from 2020 and I havent had a chance to check them out. I see Dtube on there, I forget if thats on Hive or Steem. Im not really trying ot make videos. Theres also the issue of rather or not you can easily build ontop of them.
If these spam DVs dont stop I am out too. I will still probably drop here just for those that do read my posts but I wont focus here. Itd be like Steem to me, a place to repost for those that are still there.
