Fast Sketches

I used to draw very slowly and for a very long time. A week ago I went to a sketching class and tried fast sketching. The instructor gave us 30 seconds to 3 minutes per sketch.

I wasn't expecting anything but I was pleased with the result. I used only charcoal, I like to use it when I draw on paper and not digitally.

We drew each other. But before that we drew portraits from photographs.

Some of the sketches were not very successful but I like them even more!

Scanned all the drawings with my phone camera. I didn't realize it's so easy to do. Especially for black and white drawings.

I'm really looking forward to the next class.
