[Movie] Weapons

Knowing at the start of this movie that it was a true life story, and being told how the police or government could give no report of what indeed happened to the general public because it was unexplainable except if the citizens had to explain themselves, I never knew the real impact of what happened until I watched till the very end. I felt so sad because it actually happened and not just a fictional story.

Weapons is a 2025 American movie written, produced and directed by Zack Cregger alongside other producers. It is a mysterious horror-like movie centered around 17 missing children out of 18 pupils who left their beds at exactly 2:17am, walked out of their homes, and went straight into the darkness opposite their homes. Right after that, no one else knows what happened to them or where they were. Unfortunately, they all were from one single class of a female teacher named Gandy. Who would actually unravel this mystery of what actually happened?

The movie isn't totally or 80% scenes all about been horror, but the few scenes that were horror balanced with the whole storyline. There wasn't excessive or shortage of it and it really interpreted the story that was told well enough.

I can sense from my whole writing right now that a tone of sadness still reflects cos the ending of the movie kind of dealt with my feelings somehow. Children were involved and at stake and if this was really a true life story then bad people will definitely meet with their doom.

Is there anyone to really blame from the movie aside the villain? I guess James who choose to be a thief but would we blame archer for trying to find out about the kids as a police officer all alone? Or Marcus who also had to just make investigations mostly when Teacher Gandy made a complaint about Alex's house.

I love the scene arrangements, the cinematography, the directing and all. It's an educating movie amidst all, to not put your live in harm's way by allowing someone you've heard from in a while into your space let alone a stranger. You might end up not being the only one who will be affected by the consequences of your actions.

Weapons is a movie worth watching and spending your time on as I won't want to reveal so much about it to avoid spoiling the whole suspense.

I'll be dropping my 🖊️ here on the movie review

Thanks for reading through 🤗
