Sawo kecik fruit has the scientific name Manikara kauki, this sapodilla fruit belongs to the sapodilla family (Sapotaceae). This fruit is often referred to as Sawo Jawa, but also many other names depend on the area, such as Khirni (India) and Lamut Sida (Thailand).
According to Javanese philosophy, this sapodilla fruit is identified with "sarwo becik" which means good. In Yogyakarta, the sapodilla fruit is used as a sign that the person who planted it is eternal in the palace.
This sapodilla fruit also has an oval shape about 3-4 cm long. This sapodilla fruit has a very thin wrapping skin, making it easy to peel.
When it is ripe, this sapodilla fruit has a very sweet taste, but sometimes it feels a little spicy.
