When you are just starting out you should check out apps which are having promotions or giving upvotes for using them, enter contests under the #contest tag, and comment meaningfully on other people's posts. If you do not have money to start with then it is too hard to start making your own blogs and posts when you are just starting out. Good luck!

Yeah no problem, there were so many resources here on steemit and people willing to help that I'd be forever a noob without them lol.
