BEWARE: NCD The world No 1 Killer.
NCDs are NonCommunicable Diseases, they are the leading cause of death in the world today.
The four main Noncommunicable diseases are
- Cardiovascular disease,
- Cancer,
- Chronic lung diseases and
- Diabetes
These NCDs kill three in five people worldwide causing premature deaths (death of people below 60yrs).
Death of people resulting from NCDs, can be prevented by changed policies and active engagement not only in health but also in other sectors.
Effective action in implementing change of policies in various sectors will save millions of lives now and in the future and prevent many from suffering.
