Go Programming For Hackers and Pentesters

No Starch Press is planning to release a new book based on Go Programming for security professionals. This book plans to teach you how to write powerful and effective penetration testing tools in Go language. They begin with fundamentals and then dive deep into some impressive capabilities to add to your arsenal including:

  • Writing a TCP proxy
  • Creating HTTP clients
  • Write a custom DNS server/proxy
  • Sniff and process TCP/IP packets
  • Writing exploits

The authors of this book include:

  • Tom Steel:
    -- Software development background creating software for Optiv. He is known for speaking at popular conferences including DefCon, Schmoocon, and most recently at the upcoming Black Hat 2017, July 22nd - July 27th. He has contributed immensley to open source development, security tools and frameworks.

  • Dan Kottmann:
    -- Worked at Optiv on the attack and penetration team. He has more than eight years of experience in information security through tool development and conference speaking.

  • Chris Patten:
    -- Worked alongside Dan Kottmann on the attack and penetration team at Optiv.
