School Visit as an Effective Learning Model

Shcool visit is a learning model that is done by visiting the place where appropriate with learning materials, in this method the teacher will only be a guide and facilitator for students, while theater is the people who work or served in the agency.

To achieve the desired learning objectives the school visit should be carefully planned, because this learning model will be done outside the school and will certainly take a lot of time, besides that the students must also be equipped with some basic questions, so that he knows what information he should get from place that they visited so that this program will be useful for them and add experience in their life.

On this occasion, we will tell a little about our experience in doing School visit at Batalion 113 Bireuen, Aceh. Battalion 113 Bireuen is one of the battalions in Aceh province. There are many new and exciting experiences that the students of the Sukma Bangsa Bireuen school students have learned in this program, among them the students are able to know the duties and responsibilities of a soldier in maintaining the integrity of a country, the students are also very enthusiastic following the program that had been planned by Bireuen Battalion 113 trainer, watching how the exercises done by the army and students can follow some of the exercises directly guided by coach Battalion 113 trainer Bireuen, apart from that students also introduced several types of weapons that are used by Indonesian Repoblican troops.

The proverb says: “ experience is the best teacher”, therefore good education is an education that is able to provide new experiences for learners in a way that is effective and fun, giving new experiences while playing and observing directly what is being learned such as school visit more effective rather than just listening to teacher explanations in front of the classroom.

From here we can say that education is not limited to the classroom, but more than that education is a learning that is not limited,any where we can learn and anyone can be a teacher.
