DON'T MISS IT! 5 MYTHS ABOUT RUNNING
Beginner runners quite often encounter deep-rooted myths about how they should or should not run, today I help you identify 5 of those myths.

1- If I run I should not walk
Let's be clear, all beginner runners have started out walking and there is no shame in that. Alternating walking and running is an ideal technique to avoid injury and prepare the muscles for later running 30-45 minutes without interruption.
2- To progress, you have to run fast
Another well-established belief is to think that you have to run at full speed and that each outing should be an opportunity to improve the record of the previous one. Running slowly to make progress is the basis of training. Keep in mind that 80% of your workouts should be done at a pace that allows you to breathe comfortably.
3- My old sneakers are enough
Some runners, when they decide to take up running again, take out a pair of shoes that have been in the back of their closet for a long time. While it is true that clothing and accessories are secondary, choosing the shoe that best suits your morphology, type of tread and terrain is essential. And don't forget to change your running shoes regularly.
4- Running compensates for all excesses
Some people still believe that the practice of running allows them all the excesses.
How many times have we not heard the phrase: "I smoke but I run 3 times a week" or after a workout I can eat all the legs I want and drink a few beers with friends because after a hard workout I deserve it? Let's be clear, the practice of a sporting activity does not reduce the risks of smoking for the body. Sport does not excuse everything, the best thing is to be moderate and use common sense.
5- To lose weight you have to run for a longer period of time
To lose weight there is only one rule: burn more calories than you consume. You have probably already read that to lose the extra kilos you must run at least 40 minutes, but it is more beneficial to run 3 times a week for 30 minutes than 2 times 40 minutes. And finally, remember that accumulating layers will not help you lose those extra grams. Sweating does not help you lose fat, but fluid, so don't forget to hydrate well.
