Why block trade is so expensive?

I have a doubt...
I'm making something wrong or block trade is ridiculously expensive??
I lost 0.1 out of 0.5 ether in only one transaction, 20% more expensive?

As you can see in the pictures, for 0.5 eth I received almost 87 steem and I should receive 101. I'm making something wrong or this is the worst converter ever??

Is this always like this?
