Bitfinex / Tether

Anyone who's seen the Full Tilt Poker saga play out should know how to spot a company playing fast and loose with customer deposits when they see one.

I'm not saying Tether are necessarily unbacked...but putting significant funds on Bitfinex is a risk above and beyond the risks already associated with crypto. This goes almost as much for funds stored in Tether on other exchanges and even for funds held in other cryptos on exchanges with Tether listed. At best, Tether is a minor convenience; at worst it could easily be a cancer that brings down the entire bubble.
