By the sea where your footprints linger
in the sand marked, and in the mist,
your absence envelops me, the sea murmurs,
your voice reaches me, in my soul it lights up.

I silently ask the sky for your name,
I search the horizon for your radiant image,
I swim towards you with a longing that amazes me,
but I arrive only at your resounding echo.

You are not present, but I find peace,
knowing that your voice is heard far away,
in some corner of the world, I feel you.

The sea, witness of our old love,
keeps the waves, in their slow song,
