My Introduction
Greetings,
My name is Alexandria but go by Alex most of the time. I was born in Palo Alto, CA and was raised in Reno, NV. About 5 years ago I moved to the Portland, OR area and I love it here.
The true love and ultimate joy of my life in my 6-year-old son, Phoenix. He was diagnosed with autism a few years ago, and therefore faces many challenges and obstacles on a daily basis. Despite all if this, he remains one of the most happy, sweet, loving, curious, kind, and fearless kids that I've ever met.
My hobbies include painting, crocheting, reading, gardening, and I'm kinda obsessed with true crime podcasts and documentaries.
I look forward to reading, posting, and interacting with lots of new and interesting people on steemit.

The official FAQ can be found here and has A LOT of information https://steemit.com/faq.html - Also remember, Steemit is just ONE of the sites built that uses Steem the blockchain. You should also check out DTube and DSound for starters and if you're a gamer, Splinterlands! There are many other cool apps but I can't list them all here, there's just too many! But I'd also like to mention Steempeak, it's a better blogging platform that has a lot of cool features. The latest project you should also check as a new member is a palnet! Welcome to the blockchain! :) Oh, and if you're interested in creating your own tokens or smart contracts, check Steem engine!

When I was little my family came to America because my grandma loves horses :) We had some land in Placerville, and I'd accompany my grandparents to Lake Tahoe/Reno every month.
I moved too Seattle a handful off years ago :)
