Nearly 24millionwillbedevotedthisyearbytheGovernmentofQuebectohelpingvictimsofcrime.TheMinisterofJustice,StéphanieVallée,indicatedthattheVictims'AssistanceCentersalonewillreceivemorethan24 million will be devoted this year by the Government of Quebec to helping victims of crime.The Minister of Justice, Stéphanie Vallée, indicated that the Victims' Assistance Centers alone will receive more than 21 million.This amount will be shared among the 17 in Quebec. Abitibi-Témiscamingue, the Côte-Nord and the Outaouais region will be able to hire three new resources to better meet the needs of victims of Aboriginal communities in these regions.The provide counseling services in the justice system, information on the rights and remedies of victims, post-traumatic and psychosocio-judicial intervention services, assistance with the completion of certain administrative documents and Referral services to specialized resources.In addition to theight other organizations also receive financial assistance from the government.These include the Association of Families of Murdered and Missing Persons, the Center of Expertise in Sexual Assault Marie-Vincent, the Center for Integrated Services in Abuse and Abuse in the Quebec City Region and the Center for Victims Sexual assault in Montreal
