Helllo Steemians!!!

My Name is Alfred "Freddy B" Mahlangu A 22 year old South African Sony Award Winning Photographer and 30 South Eyewear Acclaimed Photography Ambassador, from a small Township called Tsakane in The Far East of Johannesburg, South Africa. Nicknamed "Mashona" The Last Town.

Living In My Family House with my amazing Grandmother and my 5 other cousins from hand to mouth ,while trying to grow my career on daily activities with freelance gigs, from events to product photography & content creation. I'm Lover of pets, plants and an Intense Music follower especially jazz influenced, and Gourmet Food is my everything!!!😁

I found this plaform through a friend called Matt on the Brink, about 2 years ago and I immediately got interested , with little knowledge of cryptocurrencies. I feel like this the right time to explore this exceptional platform and learn more!

I've Studied Digital Marketing, Photography & Visual Communication at a tertiary Level and freelanced in media & fashion as a creative & photographer with a few novice brands both local and international.

Having the opportunity to shoot & direct a few commercial photo shoots, has really lifted my work confidence. "I see more of myself as a producer of beautiful, meaningful and informing aesthetics than just a Photographer"

In February 2019 , I received a 1st Place National Award from Sony World Photography Awards 2019.
In April 2018 , I was awarded as a Top 5 Finalist in people/portrait photography on Photocrowd and also Culture Leader Arts Portrait Competition 2018 Top 11 finalist.

In my personal work, I am influenced by Culture, Fashion & Socio environmental photographs, telling stories from behind & infront of the lens through engaging conceptualized photographs.

My work strives to address the importance of belonging and being free in a space, with the ability to create, break boundaries and influence my peers to dreams along with South Africa & The World.

I am looking forward to make new friends and help grow my network here. Will be sharing more of work very soon. Please help share, because I'd love influence the world and help uplift My Family/Home and the spirits of my fellow brothers and sisters in the Community!!!😁😎☺

What an amazing introduction post, @alfredmahlangu. Those pictures are awesome. And I think you just might have a lot of value to add to the Steem blockchain.

At first, I was a bit hesitant to contact you, since the post was already 3 days old, but I saw you had been commenting earlier today, so I know you're still around.

As you probably know by now, SteemIt has set some very unfair rules for newcomers, which limit you in the number of posts and comments that you can make.

I checked your wallet, and noticed you had 15 Steem Power. The amount of Steem Power you have, determines how many Resource credits you have. (You use resource credits every time you post, comment or like something.) When you don't have a lot of Steem Power, you run out of Resource credits quite quickly, and then you can't post or comment, or even upvote a post - but I assume you already found out about that - until they have recharged.

At the top, you'll see this:

The blue bar is your Voting power - it decreases every time you upvote a post and recharges over time. It is recommended to keep your Voting Power above 80%, so it will recharge in 1 day.

The green bar below shows your Resource Credits (it's orange because you were running low on RC). With every transaction you make (vote, comment, post), your Resource Credits will decrease. They will recharge, but that takes time.

If you scroll down a bit, you can see exactly what you can do with the Resource Credits you have left. At the moment of the screenshot, you could only make 1 more comment before you'd run out of RC. You would have to wait until it recharges before you could make another comment.

I don't think it is fair to limit new users like that. After all, you're new, and there is such a whole lot to discover, of which the most important thing is the awesome community we have here. But to become a part of that community, to get to know people, you should be able to comment on other people's posts and engage with people.

So I'm always on the lookout for promising newcomers that could use a little help. So I delegated some of my Steem Power to you, to give you a chance to start your SteemIt adventure a little more freely - without having to run out of Resource Credits all the time.

Basically that means you will have a little more Steem Power, and as a result more Resource credits. This will allow you to be more active on the platform.

If you check your Steemd page (https://steemd.com/@alfredmahlangu) now, you'll notice it says at the top you have 65SP instead of only 15 SP, which means you can comment, reply, upvote and post a little more often.

Be sure to still keep an eye on that Resource Credits bar - it will still decrease, but you'll be able to do more before it reaches zero and you're locked out.

I hope this will help you to find your way on SteemIt, and to get to know all the awesome people that are hanging out here.

SteemIt has quite a steep learning curve in the beginning, but if you take it one step at a time, you'll be okay. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. you can leave a comment on one of my posts, or just tag me in any post or comment you make (@simplymike), and I will be notified and will try to help you out.

IMPORTANT: I will leave the delegation in place as long as you're active on SteemIt (i.e. publish original content regularly and engage with other people by commenting on their posts and replying to their comments) or gather enough Steem Power to get around on your own.

There's one other requirement: I'm looking for people who are showing that they plan to be on SteemIt long-term. So I'm asking you to power up your earnings (convert your liquid Steem and SBD into Steem Power) and not withdraw them).

(I'll give you more info about how and why to power up later. It's not really relevant at the moment, since you still have to receive your first payouts.)

It will also be a good idea to create a free Discord account (Discord is a chat app we Steemians use to communicate 'behind-the-scenes' of the platform. Many different communities have a server where you can chat and meet people without being limited by Resource Credits.)

One of the communities there is called Steem Terminal. Steem Terminal is set up to help newcomers find their way around here. If you have any questions, they will be able to help you out too.

You will be redirected to a page that says 'thekittygirl invited you to join Steem-terminal'. Click the 'Accept Invite button' to get access to the server.

Once you have clicked that button, you have access to the server and can get an answer to your questions. The people that run the server will help you to find your way around and to get started.

You can join contests to get a bigger delegation:

@akomoajong is running a weekly contest in which he delegates some of his Steen Power to new users. By entering, you can get your Steem Power up to 85SP, which will give you even more freedom to explore the platform. Enter Here.

There are more occasional contests that give out delegations as a prize. If I happen to come across any, I will make sure to let you know.

Like I said, SteemIt might have a steep learning curve in the beginning, it is definitely worth it to push through and get to know the amazing community.

We encourage everyone to explore the various posts and to leave personal comments on those that you wish (for example - thoughts regarding the content or a sharing of a similar experience you've had). This platform thrives through interaction as it's the best way to build relationships with other Steemians while finding communities and initiatives that peak your interests.

We like to advise bloggers to cite if images, videos, etc. used in their posts are of their own creation. This practice gives the creators an opportunity to have it clearly labeled that the works portrayed are the rightful property of the party posting it.

Another tip that we share with everyone is to be careful of copyright infringement when using material that is not of their original creation. Content (for example - images from a website) that grants permission for reuse is acceptable for content creators to utilize within their posts provided there is appropriate attribution to the source.
