Trapped
When I saw you for the first time, I felt you had come to brighten my life. You were that piece of heaven I longed for, the raindrop that soothed my drought-stricken soul. You looked like the October moon, shining in my darkness.
But as time went by, I realised that something wasn't right. Your caresses became more possessive, your gazes more intense. I began to feel that you were more than a warm sun, that you were a force that consumed me.
The fears you had managed to take away from me returned with more force. Something deep and dark had been born in you, and now I was terrified. I tried to escape, but your arms imprisoned me more and more.
Now, when I close my eyes, I only see your distorted face, your cruel smile. I can no longer tell whether you are my beloved or my worst nightmare. Little by little, I realise that I can no longer live without you, or with you. I'm trapped in this spiral of obsession and terror from which there is no escape.
