A paper flower

Introduction:

Imagine a sheet of paper that turns into an amazing flower with just a few folds! Origami is like the magic of folds: you take a boring sheet and poof!, it transforms into a bright and colorful flower! It's like a little paper miracle that you can create with your own hands. Each fold is like solving a mini puzzle, but in the end, you have a beautiful flower in your fingers! So grab a piece of paper, follow the folds, and let yourself be carried away by the fun and creativity of origami.


Prerequisites (Materials)

1 Sheet of paper (can be origami paper or colored paper)
1 Scissors (if not available, the cutting can be done with a ruler or carefully by hand)

Step 1: Making the flower

Sub step 1.1: Place the sheet of paper on a flat surface


Sub step 1.2: Fold the paper diagonally to form a triangle


Sub step 1.3: Cut off the excess part of the triangle with scissors and save it as it will be used later


Sub step 1.4: Then open and fold diagonally to the other side


Sub step 1.5: Then fold the square in half and open it again


Sub step 1.6: Fold the sheet following the marks already made as shown in the photo so that it forms a triangle


Sub step 1.7: Take one of the base points of the triangle and fold it towards the central point above so that it aligns


Sub step 1.8: Repeat this with each of the remaining 3 base points so that it forms a diamond as shown in the image


Sub step 1.9: Join the triangles so that the middle line of the diamond is not visible. It should look like in the image


Sub step 1.10: Insert one corner of the triangle into the other and join them as tightly and precisely as you want so that they do not lose their shape. Then do the same with the other triangles


Sub step 1.11: Hold these triangles and separate them slightly so that the hole at the bottom is visible


Sub step 1.12: Blow into the hole to make the flower open and grow


Sub step 1.13: The protruding tips at the top will be folded downwards in a circular manner


Step 2: Making the stem

Sub step 2.1: Take the remaining rectangle we saved at the beginning and place it on a flat surface


Sub step 2.2: Fold it in half lengthwise firmly and precisely


Sub step 2.3: Repeat this folding in half several times until you get a narrower stem that can fit through the flower's hole


Step 3: Assembling the flower

Sub step 3.1: Take the stem and carefully insert the tip into the flower without losing its shape, pushing it slowly until reaching the end


And there you have it! Your origami paper flower is ready to be displayed as a beautiful handmade creation!
If desired, you can use paper of different colors, decorate the flower with additional details like glitter, paint, or even combine several flowers to create a bouquet.


Tips:

• Experiment with different sizes and colors of paper to create variations of paper flowers.
• Add details like wire stems or ribbons to give a final touch to your origami floral creations.
