Starfish

Starfish are a type of echinoderm, which are animals that have a hard, spiny skin. There are over 2,000 different species of starfish, and they can be found in all the world's oceans. Starfish come in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes, and they can range from less than an inch to over three feet in diameter. Starfish are predators, and they use their five arms to capture and eat their prey.

Starfish have been around for millions of years and are thought to have evolved from a common ancestor. The first starfish fossils date back to the Ordovician period, which was over 450 million years ago. Since then, starfish have diversified and can now be found in all the world's oceans.
