Would it be very bad for my brain to be reading four books at once? I’m almost sure it would. However, I haven’t felt overloaded doing it, so maybe I should change my idea about it. They’re all completely different in theme, but they focus on topics I’ve been very interested in lately.

The truth is, I find it refreshing to switch from one book to another. It’s like taking a break between work sessions, except each break is a different kind of work. The most interesting part is that I haven’t lost the thread so easily. It seems that the interest I have in all those texts keeps me from getting bored and ultimately allows me to understand everything being communicated.

But the point lies in excess. If I keep adding more books to my simultaneous reading collection, eventually I won’t be able to keep up with all of them. Surely one will start to feel boring, and I’ll end up abandoning it. For now, I want to start reading Capital by Marx, and I’ll keep defining where my limit is.

Don’t think I’m a scholar used to this sort of thing for a long time. Rather, it’s something I discovered recently, and I honestly didn’t feel uncomfortable with it. So I considered it something curious.

I’ll try to push until I see at what point my mechanism begins to fail. In Spanish there’s a saying that the dog has four legs but can only walk one path at a time. Basically, it tells us that no matter how much we want to cover, it’s better to focus on a single goal. That way, success in a given task is more likely.

But I’m doing well. I feel like I’m grasping everything wonderfully. Motivation is definitely important. Otherwise, I don’t think I’d be doing such a crazy thing.
