Being a peacemaker according to the bible

https://youtu.be/8cRhheh68wY?si=MNuID8G3XSoSK_uf
Christians are called to be peacemakers, and that defines Christians. However, Jesus also taught that peace is not just the absence of fighting. He maintains that peace is actually love, forgiveness, and understanding.

If we expect to be called the children of God, we must be peacemakers, and it is easy to see why. If God is a God of peace, then those who work for peace in this world reflect God's nature. They use soft words; they seek reconciliation, not revenge.

Matthew 5:9, He said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.”

The Bible also teaches that being a peacemaker requires effort and wisdom. Romans 12:18 reminds believers to live at peace with everyone as much as it depends on them. This means peace may not always be easy, but Christians are expected to make sincere efforts to promote harmony. Peacemaking involves patience, self-control, and a willingness to forgive, even when it is difficult. By following Christ’s example, believers can become instruments of peace in their families, communities, and the world, showing God’s love through their actions.
