Welcome to the Hive blockchain.
Hi Natalie and welcome to Hive!
I just got alerted to your arrival via your most recent post with the #homeschool tag and the very bright looking taco! Because I have homeschooled my girls, I am part of the homeschooling community, @HomeEdders, here. Do you homeschool yourself?
Do you know about the communities on here at all? There are lots of different ones for different interests and if you let us know what your interests are, perhaps we can point you to a few.
I love your post on the family pumpkin outing. Family time is so important. ❤
Welcome to hive! I’m glad that you’re on here with us, it’s a wonderful place full of lots of great people!
I am glad that you found us here on Hive, the little corner of the internet so many of us call home! I would love to have the warm weather, sand between my toes, and the culture near the gulf of Mexico! That sounds wonderful, I look forward to seeing you around here. Please be sure to comment on others posts and comments, interaction is very important here otherwise it usually doesn't end up being a successful venture for you. If you get an error that you don't have enough resources to comment or post check out the Gift Giver section a few paragraphs down and they will give you enough credits to post and comment!
We’ve got a beginner zone, so-to-speak that has lots of important information you can learn from. I would recommend you check it out to learn some stuff about the place, lots of great information is posted there.

One of the things I wanted to do is give you a piece of advice that could make this place awesome for you! Talking with some of the people who have been here for a while, we remember one of the best things we did was find other people’s posts through others or go looking and start commenting meaningful things. If you drop small phrases it won’t get you much attention but if you look at a persons post and leave a great comment, a lot of times they will appreciate it and talk with you. If you continue to do this you will develop a friendship with them and will gain followers and grow your account. This is not an easy and fast process. It takes time but the more effort you put in the more you can be rewarded, with limitations of course.
I just say this in hopes you go out there and really connect with people and grow your account. The more we all do this, the more people will come here to take advantage of such a great place.
With commenting and posting, we consume what’s called ‘resource credits’ and in the beginning you don’t have a lot, you have to earn more. If you want to consistently comment and post, the website https://giftgiver.site/ does 10 day delegations for you to increase your credits to comment or post. Give it a try if you need some! Please feel free to ask me about this if you are confused!
There’s also a great article that can answer a lot of the questions you may have. Please visit it at:

Here are also some great communities of people you can check out! The list is a work in progress so please take them as suggestions but there are a LOT of others besides these!

Thank you!!!
Thank you very much for your warm welcome!!! My kids attend virtual school online, which means I have to coach them a lot. We’ve been doing online school for the past three years. I am excited to fined like minded people in world of HIVI. I would appreciate any help in navigating to fined information about homeschooling. I would like to know people who share their experience with homeschooling because it is still new and challenging for us. Every new day we’re trying our best😀
Homeschooling comes in so many varieties. A good friend of mine started out with distance education where the workbooks were sent through the post. It doesn't seem they long ago, but I expect that is all done online now. My youngest is doing open access for her highschool certificate now and that's all online. Still needing coaching now and again.
Which front-end do you use? If it's Peakd, you can find the HomeEdders community here: https://peakd.com/c/hive-199420/created, or on Hive.blog, here: https://hive.blog/created/hive-199420
Feel free to post anything homeschool in there. There is a discord you can join, but it's not very active. The thing with homeschoolers is that we're usually pretty busy, but a few might get around to chatting with you if you post there or in the community. They're all lovely.
Welcome to Hive!
I wish you success and fun here 🙃
