Splinterlands Art Contest Week 292! : The Boxing Champ ,KOBOLD BRUISER

Welcome to another week of the Splinterlands Fan Art Challenge. My entry for this week is the Boxing Kobold Bruiser of the Fire Element.

Here are the steps on how I made my fan art.

First, I made a rough sketch of Kobold Bruiser, thinking it would be good if his pose was in attack mode, so I drew him in action as if he were dashing towards his opponent.

Once I finished the rough sketch, I added details to make him look more like Kobold Bruiser.

Next, I finalized the outline and thickened the strokes.

After completing the outline, I began coloring. Kobold Bruiser has minimal coloring, mostly shades of orange and yellow.

Once I finished the base color, I started shading and added shadows and highlights to each color.

After coloring, I worked on the background. I drew an exploding effect behind him and colored it with a gradient.

Then, I applied a reverse gradient to the background.

For the final touch, I decided to add a halftone layer for effect, which acts as Kobold Bruiser’s shadow.
