Hyades

The Hyades is a small group of six to seven visible stars that appears to obscure the forehead of Taurus. They are so close to the star Aldebaran that they usually rise and set at the same degrees as this royal star. For this reason, there is no separate paran card for the Hyades. The stars themselves do not seem to have astrological significance, but the cluster as a whole contains a significant amount of mythology. The main star El Nath (Boundary Star) is located at the base of the northern horn and is different from the star Nath, located at the tip of the horn, which we considered earlier. The mention of this cluster is often found in ancient literature, it is one of the few celestial objects mentioned by Homer. The Hyades are apparently associated with rain, water, and storms, since in classical times their heliacal rise most likely occurred at the end of November or the beginning of December, the beginning of winter. The word hyades in Greek means rain or water. The Greeks saw in the Hyades the daughters of Atlas and the tutors of the infant Dionysus, heir to the throne of Zeus, placed in gratitude in heaven.
