Apology

After winning the race to be born to you,
you let me stay, and I grew, and grew!

Your life was ruined, because of me.
I disrupted your life, and your family.

Please believe me when I say,
I regret it, even up to this day.

You kept me around, and left me my life,
and I now have two children, and a wonderful wife.

Thanks for the chance to play a part,
and I apologize from deep in my heart!

I'm not trying to prove what I'm worth,
but I love you, Mom, and have since my birth!
