Yours

Not everything I say is good.
Not even everything I do.
But, if I die before I'm ready,
I leave my heart with you.

If I die before my time
there's nothing I'll still know.
But while I live, I really hope
your memories of me remain aglow.

Since I'm not dead, but full of life,
you are my guiding light.
I'll stick around until the end,
although I'm no shining knight.

You're the gleaming in my eyes,
and the beating of my heart.
And from you, my dear wife,
I shall never, ever, part!

This is what I want to say.
The words were not so hard to find.
I'm sure my soul has found it's mate.
That's why our fates are intertwined.
