HER PAIN

No one knew her- The real her.

Her sweet smile and cheerful laughter have always managed to serve as an amazing mask for her. Her pretend happiness had seemed so real that even the closest one to her has believed that the horrid memory has faded. She wished she could have believed it too, and then maybe life will be easy.

Many have told her that, “time will heal the pain”. She had waited too long to know it is not the truth. It is just what people say to someone sad when they don’t know what to say. She guessed that people assumed when tears dried, pain healed.

Little did they know, that some pain is so invisible that even those who feel it fail to see it.
