inktober Day3 Art

So the theme for Day3 is Roasted, being "anti-cliche" I wanted something more elaborate, with a story behind to back it up.

The fall of the angels came to mind, so I started sketching, here the angel has been pushed out of heaven and attacked with a light beam that roasts him, but being an immortal being, he didn't die, but he's holy looks sure did.

It the sketch, half of his body has already turned dark, claws and hooves grew in place of fingers and toes, his Halo is not spared as it melts unto his head forming horns in it's stead with one of the wings already turning from white and feathery to a dark rubbery bat like one.

A couple more things are going on, but more importantly is the winged shadowy figure in the distance holding a sword, giving the idea that he cut of the main angel's wing which is floating on it's own.
