My first post in GEMS
I've been a member of the Silver Gold Stackers community since February 2020. I try to post stuff frequently and give some information about whatever it is I'm posting, it's usually Pre-33 Gold ๐ค. I was on Steemit in the beginning and all the Justin Sun stuff happened and now I'm on Hive. What a wild ride it's been and I've only been doing this for a few weeks ๐
Iโve been collecting and selling precious metals since 2005. During that time I was able to slowly, over the years, purchase a few gemstones. When I initially wanted to get into gemstones, I wanted diamonds, but diamonds can be really expensive so I went with sapphires.
Since this is my first post in GEMS, I figured I'd post an actual gem ๐
I've never photographed sapphires before so I learned a few things taking these pictures. I'm sure as time goes on I'll get better.
I also included some of the information that is on my UGL Gemstone Identification Report, enjoy
| Object: | Lose Faceted Gemstone |
| Identification: | Natural Sapphire |
| Shape: | Round |
| Weight: | 1.03 cts. |
| Measurements: | 5.98X5.98X3.42mm |
| Color: | Intense Blue |
| Clarity: | VS1 |
| Enhancements: | Heated |
| Species: | Corundum |
| Origin: | Madagascar |
| Comments: | Sapphires are typically treated to enhance their color and appearance. |

That thing is fantastic man!
Another wonderful article, about something that I know nothing. Living and learning!
I have no idea about the value of this gem, but how variations in size, weight, clarity and enhancements affect the price?
At last, I loved the silvergoldstackers banner! Did you make it? Could I use it on my articles (quoting the source, of course)?
Interesting point. What's a treasure chest without at least a few GEMS! Arrrh!
Thanks @summertooth I have 3 blue and 1 orange. I'd really like to get a ruby next but they are way expensive ๐ค๐ค๐ค
Its crazy what all goes into the price. I paid about $1,200 USD for this one, not sure at its worth now or if the value fluctuates very much...
Also... I think @thekittygirl is the one who made the banner. She posted it on our discord.
Here is the code, I added the hyperlinked part...
I was trying to figure out how to paste the code in here without it showing the picture.
You'll have to right-click on the picture and "inspect" it to see the code... I'll see if I cant tag you in the discord.
Hahahahahaha Exactly... I try to diversify with a little bit of everything.
Sent you a message on discord ๐๐๐
Beautiful gem my friend!!
Yes, I made the banners/footers for SilverGoldStackers and they are for anyone in the SGS community to use, @ronaldoavelino ๐ Thanks for the shout-out, @anchormetals!
Here is the code for the banner/footer with the wood-grain background:
