There are only two things you need to be successful.

What to write about

It’s sometimes difficult to know what to blog about, especially when you are hoping to gain a following. The question that you should ask yourself is: What makes people want to read what you write? it turns out to be... Anything and everything.

Many year ago in the days of England's Queen Victoria, before social media, SMS, email and even computers, there was a book published called ‘Diary Of A Nobody’. It was written by two brothers who wanted to be famous, but who were not famous or even slightly well-known.

In those days, there were only two forms of written media - Periodicals (Magazines, newspapers) and books. They approached numerous book publishers with no success, as they all said that what the brothers were writing would be of little interest to anyone other than themselves and possibly family and friends.

When a gamble pays off

They refused to take no for an answer, and eventually managed to publish at great personal expense. It was a gamble that paid off, as it turned out that people did want to read a story of real life, as their own might be.
They went on to earn good money from the book, which is still being talked about one hundred years later. If there is a moral to this story, it is ‘Believe in yourself’ and ‘Follow your dream’.

Anyone can do it

Today, the playing field has been levelled. Literally anyone can write for a world-wide audience, and literally anyone can earn a living doing it. It just takes, a little time, and faith in your own ability.

Good luck and good earning. I hope this has inspired at least one person to follow their dream.
