Thrace/Samo
Hello guys I'm back !!
I made that collage with the most beautiful sculptures the "Nike of samothrace" this statue it has been in louvre ! (( although it's real position is in Greece ))
Nike of Samothrace is a Hellenistic sculpture of the 2nd century BC. century carved into Parian marble, depicting the goddess Nike. The sculpture was found in Samothraki in 1863, broken into many pieces, and moved to the Louvre Museum. Niki's head and left hand never came. The statue was set on a bow-shaped base, basics of which have been found. ----------------
So I did not want to despise the project I found this superb picture of the victory of the samothraki and joined it with an image of the well-known jack davison ( https://instagram.com/jackdavisonphoto?utm_source=ig_profile_share&igshid=1gmse4vdwjqf1 ) photographer with a virginie lentulus ( https://instagram.com/_virginielentulus_?utm_source=ig_profile_share&igshid=174h1zjtftsx7 ) model !! the result was satisfied with me !!! it's a digital collage so treated to look like analog!

I love the Nike of Samothrace, it is such a powerful presence, perhaps more so because it lacks all original features. It's cool to think of this statue once being on the prow of a warship - incredible! Probably painted in bright colours too (the ancient Greeks loved to use colour on their statues and architecture). I think you have made an interesting response to it, and it works well using arms to emulate the wings.
I have been in samothrace island and alla the place had a mystery power like the same of statue!! Thank you for words !!! ❤️
