Fascinating Feathers...

Feathers are one of the most interesting things in the nature world.How many times have you picked up a pretty feather on the road? It might be that of a common bird, like an egret or even a lowly crow,but it's a fascinating object.Feathers date back to two million years ago,because birds developed during the age of the dinosaurs.

For me, the most interesting use of bird feathers is the making of quills, for writing.By the way , don't think of asking your friendly neighborhood stationer for a quill. They went out of fashion almost two hundred years ago, and he'll probably say, "Huh, what's that?"
