Lichess : Requesting for 15seconds

Lichess is an Internet chess server, free and adless. Anyone can play anonymously, although players may register an account on the site to play rated games. All features are available for free, as the site is funded by donations.

Adding 15secs

Before or while playing a time limited game, any game apart from correspondence, you can add 15seconds to your opponents time. It can be added more than once. There is a "plus" icon that represent this feature.
15secs is the fixed Lichess time that can be added.
This feature doesn't appear when playing in an arena.

Proposal Description

Requesting for 15secs

When playing any "time limited" game, there should be a feature that allows me request for 15secs from my opponent.
Meanwhile the opponent has the authority to either accept or decline.

Just as the "add 15seconds" button is represented by a plus button in the opponents profile, the same button should be in the players profile. Therefore when clicking on the button from your side, it requests for 15secs, clicking on your opponents side still adds the 15secs.

The same button would appear close to the players username just as it is to the opponents.

Benefits

Losses due to disconnection.

Some games on Lichess are lost due to disconnection, if the player is reconnected before the end of the game but very low on time, the player can request for 15secs to continue the game.
