Making volcanoes (our winter camp)
During our winter camp we also made some volcanoes!
The volcano in the first picture wasn't made but bought from the popular Chinese website 'taobao' for a few RMB.
To make the volcano base we mixed 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, 1 cup of water and a spoonful of cooking oil.
We just mixed it until it began to get thick.
We then put a small plastic cup in the center of the base filled the cup half way with sodium and a drop of red ink and then when you pour in half a cup of vinegar it erupts like a volcano!
The winter camp has been really fun and the kids seem to be loving it! =]
