Silencing the world for objective truth.

At a young age, many of us are led to believe how the world works and how we should live. But why? Who makes the rules? And are the rules even real?

Religions have spent thousands of years telling us how to live but even they get each other mixed up.

No one knows anything.

One thing I've learned from my travels around the world is that normal doesn't exist.

In China, people eat dogs yet in Australia they don't. China has more people, therefore, on a majority scale, is eating dogs normal or inhumane?

Who says it's inhumane? Who made the rules? And what gave him the power to make the rules? And why do we believe them?

The Etoro tribe in PNG have boys from ages 7 until 17 ingest the semen of the elder men in order to achieve adult male status. Normal? I don't know.

In ancient royal families, incest was common. It still exists today, is it normal? I don't know.

Would the only way to find objective truth be to silence the world around me?

Silence culture. Silence opinion. Silence media.

What if you only believe things you see with your own eyes?

If you have a different experience of the world than another, are you wrong or right?

Many people would say the police are helpful. But if a mother loses two children to police brutality and notices harassment to others her entire life from police, is she wrong in disagreeing?

If you've been told the justice system is fair yet notice a parent getting away with murdering their child. Are you wrong in disagreeing?

If a girl joins a feminist movement yet finds that nearly everything claimed is false in her life. Should she still follow the movement?

Over 1 billion people are Muslim yet I'm not, does that mean Allah does exist and I'm in fact wrong about life on earth?

I don't know.

If nothing can be proved to you, how can you believe it?

When I say, "I have $1billion," you might say prove it. If I say prove that I don't, you will call me a liar. Or, you may force me to provide a bank statement.

But if I say God is real and I can't physically prove it to you, is God then real?

If monogamy is how humans choose to live, why do partners cheat? Why do swinger parties exist? Why do hunter-gatherer tribes share partners? Why do our primate ancestors indulge in promiscuity amongst each other?

Could it be that no one knows anything?

If science is supposed to be the truth, why is there debate amongst it?

How do we know that Dog is the correct word for a canine? Billions of others believe its perro, 狗 or الكلب. Who's correct?

So if I silence the world around me and partake in this measure of discovering the truth, what could I believe?

CGI movies today seem just as real as life itself. Fake news has also blown the world by storm. Therefore, if I see a news story about a bombing in Mogadishu, how can I believe it?

How can I believe the US government are the good guys if I only see them invading other countries and stealing oil?

How can I believe anything?

Unless something is demonstrated to me or witnessed by my own eyes, I can't believe anything.

If a girl says she loves me, can I believe her? But if she shows me she loves me, can I then?

If I tell you my car is fast, can you believe me? But if I show you, can you believe me then?

Some people claim to know the meaning of life.

Where did they find that? Did they meet the creator of the universe? Did the creator tell them in distinct detail? Can they prove that in any way? Is there any recorded evidence of these words?

If one person finds meaning in their life through playing chess, and another finds it through raising a family, then who is correct?

As I write this article I start to realize that it's impossible to find objective truth in a subjective world.

And also that I don't know a single thing.
