Why so hard to buy bitcoins?!?!?!

New to this cryptocurrency community...so you can def call me a noob! Why is it so hard to buy bitcoins?!?!? Tried on coinbase, coinmama..Coinbase waiting for their techsupport to get back to me since I'm not able to buy for whatever reason (mind you I just created an account...) Coinmama hasn't gone through because I think my credit card company thinks the transactions are fraud...I just want to buy some bitcoins!!!
