Designing a life

A lot of people think of design as graphic design or industrial design, which is a craft and is skill based. 

Design thinking is an innovation methodology, which is used to optimise solutions to problems. This approach can also be used to find solutions to wicked problems, human problems. Who knew we could also design a life.

It starts with figuring out the problem, knowing the equation, and then resolving the situation by using this approach, to build and plan our lives.

This remains very authentic to who you are as a person - getting a life view and work view - examining things and understanding what is happening, and working things out.

We can start with developing a personal style, and taking inspiration from our hobbies, interests, and surroundings.

For example, following basic design principles that ensure our room is comfortably designed, it looks beautiful, and is perfect for the purpose we are going to use it for. Keeping in mind how the choice of paint colour affects the mood of a room, how to create complimentary lighting, and making the look and feel exactly how we want - is all a part of designing an easy and happy life.
